Wilmer "Bud"

Bud was born on October 8, 1937 at Harvey, ND. He was the son of Edward Arnold and Alma (Wagnitz) Jasmann. He grew up in Hurdsfield area and worked for area farmers. He served two enlistments in the United States Marine Corps. Bud served from November 1955 and was honorably discharged in February 1959. He returned to the Hurdsfield area and worked briefly for an area well driller. He then started his career of being an over the road semi-truck driver with all of the endorsements on his CDL license. He lived in Nebraska for 22 years. He then drove for Fisher Trucking and for Tyson Foods in the Springdale, Arkansas area. In 1993, Bud semi-retired and moved to Fountain, Colorado. Bud moved to Hurdsfield in 1999 and to Harvey in 2004.
Bud was a member of the Wells Eagles Aerie in Harvey. He was very proud of his military service and enjoyed reading Louis LaMour books. He was know by many for his CB handle, "Happy Wanderer" and for his saying, "I got 80 miles of hard road left."
Sharing in Bud's life is one son, Wade and his wife Marlene Jasmann of Mandan; two daughters, Tanja (Tony) Thomasson of Colorado Springs, CO, Kimbely and her husband Frank Tavis of Gibbon, NE; six grandchildren, Heather Nicole, Timothy Norman, Larus Wayne, Ryan Robert, Leah Marie and Lucas Anakin (Luke). He was once married to Eula Mae Morton of Robinson, ND and later to Betty Arbogast of Odessa, Nebraska.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wayne Howard Jasmann; brother Richard.
