Wanda Stein, 81 Minot formerly of McClusky died Tuesday at her son's home in Minot.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 13 at the McClusky Baptist Church with burial in the McClusky City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky, ND.

Wanda Marie was born on January 1, 1931 on the family farm near Denhoff, ND. She was one of 14 children born to Emanuel and Lydia (Richter) Meckle. She grew up in the McClusky area and married Clarence Stein on November 27, 1947 in McClusky. Wanda and Clarence had five children, Gordon, Alphia, Ardella, Arron and Brian. They lived on a farm near McClusky, in Malta, Montana and in 1959 they moved to Minot. While living in Minot, Wanda worked as a checkout clerk in a grocery store. They both retired in 1986 and moved to McClusky in 1986. Clarence died on December 13, 1992. Wanda moved to Minot and had been living with her son Brian.

Wanda attended the McClusky Baptist Church.

Wanda is survived by three sons, Gordon (Kathy) Stein of Des Lacs, ND, Arron (Sue) Stein of McClusky, ND, Brian (Lori) Stein of Minot; two daughters, Alphia (Allyn) Harstad, Glenburn, Ardella (Jerry) Jungula of Bismarck and Napoleon; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Lenora Roemmich of Havre, MT, Elsi (Albert) Wellman of Rapid City, SD, Marilyn Besterfeld of Laramie, WY, Donna (Don) Debowey, Cheyenne, WY, Cora (Carl) Rundberg of Minot, Pat (Jim) Porter of Rochester, WA, Charlotte (Link) Lindquist of Cambridge, MN; brothers, Ted (Diane) Meckle of Ray, ND, Billy (Sandy) Meckle of Lemmon, SD, Wilmar (Jane) Meckle of Rochester, WA, Mannie Meckle of Friendswood, TX.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, brothers, Walter and Reuben Meckle
