Vearl Peak 87 of Harvey formerly of Hurdsfield died Monday May 11, 2015 at the Trinity Medical Center of Minot, ND.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 15 at the Hertz Funeral Home in Harvey.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

Vearl was born August 29, 1927 near Hurdsfield, ND. He was the son of Alfred and Marie (Miller) Peak. Vearl grew up and attended school near Hurdsfield, ND. As a young man he worked for area farmers. Vearl entered the army on December 3, 1950 and was honorably discharged on September 3, 1952. He moved to Wisconsin and worked in a factory. He later moved back to Harvey. Vearl was once married and had three children. Vearl enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.

Vearl is survived by two brothers, Gerald Peak of Bismarck and Ken Peak of Chicago.

Vearl was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose Mayer; brothers, Gayle Peak and Richard Peak.
