Tim Fish, 63, Glen Ullin, ND died Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at his home from complications due to a December 2017 cancer diagnosis.

Funeral services will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church, McClusky on Monday, August 6 at 2 p.m.

Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Timothy Lynn Fish was born on December 30, 1954 in Rolette, ND.  He was the son of Gordon and Vila (Beaver) Fish.  The family lived in Rolette; Cedar Falls, Iowa; St. John and Minot before settling in McClusky.  Tim was confirmed at the Grace Lutheran Church and graduated from the McClusky High School in 1973.  He then worked with his father in the McClusky area. He began his career with the telephone company in 1979.  He was a cable splicer and technician for over 30 years while working for Bell, US West, Quest, Century Link and most recently with KLJ Engineering in Bismarck. Tim married Carmen Lasher on July 3, 1981 in McClusky.  They lived in Williston, Dickinson and Glen Ullin.   He retired in June 2017.

Tims's hobbies included fishing, gardening, bird watching, camping, hunting and making sausage.  He was a woodworker and builder.  He had a passion for repurposing items and making them into interesting gifts.  His hands were always busy.  If he envisioned something, he found a way to build it. His friends and family were recipients of his many gifts, talents and generosity.  There were no strangers in his life for he reached out to know them all.

Tim is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carmen of Glen Ullin; mother, Vila Fish of Bismarck; father, Gordon Fish of Las Vegas; two sisters, Claudette (Don) Schmidt of Bismarck; Denise (Moye) Harris of Denver; brother, Howard (Luisa) Fish of Denver; mother-in-law, Lois Lasher of McClusky; sisters-in-law, Laurie Severson and Margo (Perry) Moll all of Minot; brother-in-law Tom (Dakota) Lasher of Hermantown, MN; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tim was preceded in death by a son Cole Eugene Fish and baby boy Fish; father-in-law, Floyd Lasher.
