Otillia "Tillie" Grad 94 of Harvey died Wednesday October 31, 2012 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Harvey on Saturday November 3, 2012 at 10:30 am

Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Friday November 2, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Prayer services will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home on Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be held at the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery of Harvey.

Tillie was born on January 31, 1918 near Filmore, ND. She was the daughter of Frank and Notiburga (Heinrich) Volk. Tillie grew up and attended rural school near Filmore. As a young woman she worked as a housekeeper for various families. She married Philip J. Grad on October 30, 1944 at Selz, ND. They lived and farmed near Balta. In 1951 they moved to a farm south of Martin. In September of 2002 moved into Harvey. Philip died on August 29, 2006. Tillie was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Harvey and its Altar Society. Her hobbies were sewing, reading, playing cards and dancing the polka.

Tillie is survived by one daughter, Bonnie (Kenneth) Muscha of Harvey; son, Gordon Grad of Martin; three grandchildren, Dorian Grad, Darin Grad, and Gabriel Grad; five great-grandchildren.

Tillie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Philip; daughter, Cynthia; brothers, Jacob, Martin, Theodore, and Mathias; sisters, Theresa Burgard, Regina Grad, and Philomena Vetter.
