Theresa Zuther, 89, Harvey, ND died Friday, May 20, 2011 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home, Harvey.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey, ND.

Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Anamoose, ND.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Rosary/prayer services at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.


Theresa was born on February 16, 1922 at Harvey, ND. She was the daughter of Peter and Anna (Hoffart) Hager. She grew up and attended rural school near Selz, ND.

Theresa married Paul Zuther on May 16, 1938 at Selz. They lived and farmed southwest of Martin, ND. Theresa and Paul retired in 1974 and moved into Harvey. Paul died on March 18, 2004. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters.

Theresa is survived by her son, Paul Jr. (Butch) and his wife Barb of rural Martin; three grandchildren, Rena Nelson of Ray, Holly and Doug Martin of Rugby, Waylon and Andrea Zuther of Portage, Wisconsin; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; husband; twin daughters, Mary Ann and Anna Marie; brothers, Balzer and Adam Hager; sisters, Minnie Hager and Katherine Zuther.
