Theresa Patzer, 72, Harvey, ND died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the St. Aloisius Medical Center, Harvey, ND.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Hurdsfield Community Center, Hurdsfield, ND. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hurdsfield, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Theresa Thompson was born on March 11, 1938 in Minot, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Thomas and Francis (Durick) Thompson. She grew up in the Hurdsfield and Harvey areas. She attended school in Fessenden. Theresa and Harold Patzer were united in marriage on September 10, 1954 in Fessenden, ND. They lived in the Hurdsfield area where she was a homemaker and her husband farmed and worked road construction. They moved to Harvey in 1967 and to Surrey in 1990. Harold died on April 15, 1993. She also lived in Spring Creek, Nevada for six years before returning to Harvey in 2006. Theresa enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family.

Theresa is survived by four sons, Jeff (Mary) Patzer of Spring Creek, Nevada, Kelley (Marie) Patzer of Elko, Nevada, Brad (Sheila) Patzer of Harvey, Jamey Patzer and his special friend Lourie Fitchner both of Harvey; two daughters, Linda Appelt of Surrey and Donna Patzer of Bonney Lake, WA; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Anne Hoff of Bowdon. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Joyce Zerr; step-brother, Clarence Sleight; step-sister, Jean Miller.
