Shirley M. Faul, 86, Goodrich, ND died Saturday, November 11, 2023, at a Mandan care center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2023, at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND followed by burial in the Goodrich City Cemetery, Goodrich, ND.

Shirley was born on April 3, 1937, in Bismarck, ND.  She was the daughter of Charles and Emma (Pulver) Mutschler.  Shirley grew up in Goodrich, Vancouver, WA and Burbank, CA.  Shirley graduated from Goodrich High School in 1955.  She worked at the Harvey Herald newspaper in Harvey and the ASCS office in McClusky.  In the fall of 1956, she attended Jamestown College.  Shirley married Charles Faul Jr. on July 5, 1957, at Harvey.  They lived east of Goodrich, and she continued to work at the ASCS office until 1959.  She then became a fulltime mom.  In 1980 they moved to Sallisaw, OK and in 1981 to Watertown, SD.  They returned to their farm in 1983.   Shirley enjoyed working with ceramic items for special occasions such as centennials, reading and going to flea markets.  Shirley had an insatiable love for horses.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Tom Faul of Laporte, Co and Doug Faul of Pleasanton, TX; daughter, Traci Fiske of Bismarck; (8) grandchildren, (11) great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles on July 23, 2017; daughter, Darci; sister, Lillian Gullikson; brothers, Dale, Doug, and infant brother, LaDean.
