Ruth Baumbach, 94, of Harvey died Tuesday January 10, 2012 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Harvey with burial in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Ruth was born on September 29, 1917 near Goodrich, ND to Jacob and Christina (Buchwitz) Wonnenberg. She grew up on a farm near Goodrich and attended school there. Ruth married Clarence Baumbach on November 24, 1934 at Goodrich, ND. They lived in the Hurdsfield area before moving to California in 1950. Her husband Clarence passed away in 1983 and she moved to Harvey in 2002.

Ruth is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Grace and John Schild of Harvey; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Bill Wonnenberg of Arizona; sister, Marion Schimke of Lodi, CA; three sisters-in-law, Marie Wonnenberg, Bismarck; Leona Baumbach, Hurdsfield and Della French, Lodi California; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Robert Baumbach who passed away in 1982; and ten brothers and sisters.
