Rosella "Rosie" Adam, 84, our beloved mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away surrounded by her family on November 28, 2025.

Rosie was born November 23, 1941, to Fred and Martha (Aisenbrey) Rath. She grew up on the family farm southwest of Martin, ND, where she attended elementary school and graduated from Anamoose High School in 1960.

On April 26, 1963, Rosie married Reinhold "Reinie" Adam in Martin, ND. They moved to Harvey, where they made their home for more than 56 years and raised their four children: Melodie, Neil, Jason, and Brigette.

Throughout her life, Rosie was dedicated to caring for others. She worked for more than 25 years at St. Aloisius Hospital as a ward clerk, CNA, and home health aide. Earlier, she worked at Albrecht Grocery in Anamoose, briefly at St. Aloisius Hospital, and at the Harvey Bakery. Later, she ran a daycare from her home. She touched countless lives and was truly loved by everyone she met.

Rosie was happiest in the kitchen, cooking and baking large meals for those she loved, always making sure everyone had plenty to eat. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, fishing, and Bingo. She adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and every dog she ever met.

Rosie was kind to everyone and will be dearly missed. A member of First Lutheran Church of Harvey, she and Reinie continued to watch First Lutheran's services online after moving to Wisconsin four years ago. Her faith was important to her, and she loved staying connected with her hometown church and community.

Rosie is survived by her children: Melodie (Mike) Elwood of Hudson, WI; Neil (Karen) Adam of Minot, ND; Jason (Kim) Adam of Hudson, WI; and Brigette (Matt) Peterson of Greenfield, MN; seven grandchildren: Casey, Brendin, Jordan, Aubrey, Keely, Elsa, and Cayce; and great-grandchildren: Raelenn, Skylynn, Kieran, Parker, June, and Aeris; sister-in-law, Elaine Rath.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reinhold Adam; her father, Fred Rath; her mother, Martha Rath; her sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Clifford Wagner; her sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Eldean Hase; her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Jerome Putz; her brother, Ralph Rath; and her sister-in-law, Bertha Bennett.

Visitation will be held at Hertz Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 3, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at the funeral home at 6 p.m.  Rosie's funeral service will be Thursday, December 4, at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Harvey.  Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery of Harvey.
