Rose was born July 3, 1935 near Orrin, ND. She was one of six children born to the late Mike and Felicitas Hager. She attended Hillside township school in Pierce County through the 7th grade and the 8th grade at St Cecilia Catholic School in Harvey. On October 3rd 1955 she married Martin J. Hoffart at Orrin, ND. Martin and Rose raised their four children on their family farm near Selz, ND. Martin passed away on October 4, 1993. Rose married Donald Weninger on November 21, 1997 at Anamoose. Rose and Don continued to live on her farm. Rose loved to celebrate holidays with her family, cooking, gardening, music, traveling (especially trips to Branson) and visiting with friends on the phone. In later years she worked for Amberland Foods where she continued her passion for cooking and canning. She was active in the Selz Patient Homemakers for many years, Christian Mothers at St Anthony Catholic Church, Selz, and Harvey Eagles Auxiliary where she was president from 2005 to 2007.

Rose is survived by husband Don of Selz; daughter, Doreen (Randy) Vetter of Martin; son, Colin (Marlene) Hoffart of Harvey; daughter, Patty (Dave) Feakes of Fessenden; son, Craig (Brenda) Hoffart of Bottineau; eight grandchildren, Mindy and Wade Vetter, Mike and Samantha Hoffart, Jenna, Preston, and Kelli Feakes, and Dayton Hoffart. Two great grandchildren, Dominik Hoffart and Cameron Feakes; Step children John Weninger of Gwinner; Darin (Karen) Weninger of West Fargo; Joan Weninger of Minot; step grandchildren, Taylor and Jarrod Weninger; Jared, Serena and Mason Weninger; Tiauna , Jakye and DJ Davis; two brothers, Rudy Hager of Albuquerque, NM, Edmund (Delores) Hager, Rugby; sisters, Bertha Schell of Rugby, Agnes (Val) Schell of Minot, Rita (Gary) Thomas of Lakeville, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by parents, and husband, Martin.
