Ronnie Wagner, 78 of Harvey died Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the St. Aloisius Hospital of Harvey.  Funeral services will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Thursday October 20 at 2:00 p.m.  Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Wednesday October 19, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Ronnie was born of January 23, 1944 in Harvey.  He was the son of John and Alvina (Adam) Wagner.  He had two brothers and one sister.  Ronnie went to school in Goodrich and graduated in 1962.  He farmed with his father and at the age of 18 he took over the family farm. He enjoyed cattle, making hay, and harvesting grain crops.  Ronnie also enjoyed doing backhoe work.  Ronnie married Alberta Belile on November 6, 1976 in Sterling.  Ronnie farmed until 1983.  He then moved to Martin.  They later moved to Harvey on December 12, 2016.  His pride and joy were his two children, Donny Wagner and Sara Wagner, 4 grandchildren, and 9 foster children; Ronnie enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, and going to fairs.

Ronnie was a member of the United Methodist Church of Martin.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Alberta (Bertie) Wagner of Harvey, daughter, Sara Wagner of Harvey; 4 grandchildren; two brothers, Arnold Wagner and Marvin Wagner; sister, Sheila Majerus.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donny Wagner.
