Robert Tkach, 63, of McClusky died Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the CHI St. Alexius Hospital of Bismarck.

Robert K. Tkach was born on October 14th, 1958, at Trinity Hospital, in Minot, ND, to George and Mabel (Froehlich) Tkach. Affectionately known as "Bob," he grew up in McClusky, ND, and attended school there, graduating with the class of '76. Following graduation, Bob attended Jamestown College. Later he began a career in the construction industry, where he excelled in his field with Holen and Gratech. Bob loved his work and yet always made time for his family - especially his three children.

Some of Bob's hobbies were fishing on any lake or river possible, hunting, anything outdoors, and watching sporting events. He loved the 4th of July. He would always make a HUGE event out of taking the kids shopping for fireworks, and they would put on a SHOW! Also, they would blow everything up! It made for incredible summer memories. Bob was always a social butterfly armed with a joke or a story to share with a smile or a stern warning. Both told equally with love. Even as a father who didn't have his kids "full-time," Bob made every effort to be there for them. He made it to every sporting game of his daughters, took his son fishing and hunting, and man, you should have seen the meals they would prepare for holidays together! Eventually, Bob would carve out the same kind of time and love for his grandchildren. They made up his world, and he loved being there for them.

Over the last several years, Bob selflessly gave much of his time and attention back to the lady who gave him so much at the beginning of his life, his mother, Mabel. The family is forever grateful to Bob for his love and care for our family's matriarch.

He is survived by his children, Jeremy (Tasha) Tkach, Bismarck, ND. Erica (Tkach) Powell, Dickinson, ND. Kimberly Tkach, Lincoln, ND; His mother, Mabel (Froehlich) Tkach, McClusky, ND; Brother Rev. Rodney (Marilyn) Tkach, McClusky, ND; His five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, George Tkach; brother Roger Tkach; and sister Barbara (Tkach) Delvo.
