Robert Kopseng, 85 of Harvey died Friday, June 10, 2022 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church of Harvey on Tuesday June 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.  Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey.  Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery of Harvey.

Bob was born on February 24, 1937 in Harvey.  He was the son of Clarence and Olive (Olm) Kopseng.  Bob grew up seven miles east of Harvey and attended country school until the 7 ^th grade.  Bob attended Harvey Public School and graduated in 1955.  Following graduation Bob enlisted in the Army for two years and spent eighteen months of his enlistment in Germany. After the service he spent a year of school in Wahpeton and then returned to the family farm and farmed with his parents.  Bob married Cynthia Schwarz on May 26, 1964.  Bob's dad retired in 1970 and Bob took over the family farm.  Cynthia died on April 30, 1994.

Bob was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Harvey, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post of Harvey where he served on the Color Guard for many years.  Bob enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Bob also enjoyed going to coffee with friends at the local restaurants.

Bob is survived by his sons, David (Samantha) of Harvey, Michael of Harvey and daughter, Kirsten (Rodney) Green of Round Rock, TX; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James; wife, Cynthia granddaughter, Sarah Ann Green.
