Robert Calheim, 80, of Harvey died Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home.  Funeral services will be held at the Cornerstone Community Church North Campus on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.  Visitation will be on Thursday, January 27, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey.  Burial will be in the German Baptist Cemetery rural Fessenden at a later date.

Robert Calheim passed away peacefully in his home on January 24 th . Robert was born April 3 rd , 1941 in Mercer, ND to Adeline (Dahl) and Clifford Calheim. He attended school in Fessenden. He married Sharon Rodacker in 1959. They had four daughters: Cheryl Diane, Vicky and Jennifer. Robert worked construction from 1958-1961 for Freshle & Sons and Kreig & Sons. He then entered into farming and ranching from 1963-1998. He then worked at Mack's Farm & Sales for a number of years until he retired. He remained on the farm where his family was raised. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a member of the Fessenden Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family, and playing bingo; however, farming and ranching always remained his passion. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sharon; four daughters, Cheryl Holm (Steve) of Rugby, Diane Nygaard of Jamestown, Vicky Calheim of Harvey, and Jennifer (John) Donarski of Harvey; Eleven grandchildren, Johnathan Holm (Christina) of Rugby, Alesha (Dustin) Zimney of Jamestown, Brooke Roland of Jamestown, Eric Gahner (Hailee) of Jamestown, Derrick Mindt of Jamestown, Cassandra (Dale) Monk of Jamestown, Nathaniel, Ethan, Brandon, Andrew, and Luke Donarski all of Harvey; ten great-grandchildren, Joseph Holm and Adrian Hernandez of Rugby, Braden Gahner, Ashlyn and Riley Zimney, Ethan Burton, Ayden Enzminger Gahner, Chase and Carlee Roland all of Jamestown, and Brenton DeJesus of Jamestown; and brother, Clifford (Marla) Calheim of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents; sister, Murriel Schmidt; brother, Melfred Calheim; a nephew, great-niece, and great-nephew.
