Reed Filler, 62, Harvey formerly of Goodrich, ND died Friday, July 17, 2020 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home, Harvey.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the First Lutheran Church, Harvey.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

CDC recommendations including social distancing, hand cleansing, wearing masks, and staying away if not feeling well are strongly encouraged for both the visitation and funeral service.

The funeral will be streamed live on the First Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND facebook page.

Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.

Reed was born on September 24, 1957 in Harvey, ND to Walter and Margene (Hirschkorn) Filler.  He was raised on the family farm south of Anamoose.  Reed attended schools in Fessenden, Drake and Harvey.  He continued to live with his parents on the farm where he enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of animals and doing yard work.  Reed enjoyed being with family and friends, fishing, dancing, taking pictures and putting them along with newspaper clippings in his many albums. His favorite sport was basketball.  He loved going to parades and county and state fairs.  Reed was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

Reed is survived by his father, Walter, of Harvey; sisters, Candra (Brian) Tessmann of Fargo, Pamela (Butch) Akers of Harwood, ND and his brother Ryan Filler of Goodrich, ND.  Reed has nine nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews.

Reed was preceded in death by his mother Margene Filler.
