Randie Schmidt, 65, Martin, ND died peacefully with his kids at his side on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday May 23, 2022 at First Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND.  Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Sunday May 22, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery of Harvey.

Randie was born on March 27, 1957 at Harvey, ND.  He was the son of Harold and Murriel (Calheim) Schmidt.  He grew up on the family farm south of Martin and attended grade school in Harvey and graduated from the Harvey High School in 1976.  Randie loved to fish all year round and also enjoyed hunting. He enjoyed riding snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATV's, dirt bikes.  He enjoyed visiting his daughter and family at home.  Randie also traveled to south states in the winter months.  He liked spending time in his shop working on different projects.

Randie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Krystle Schmidt of Anamoose, ND; daughter and son-in-law, Trisha and Justin Weninger of Martin; grandchildren, Kaden, Foster, Aria, Oaklyn, and one to be born on May 18, 2022.

Randie was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shauna; brothers, Mark and infant brother, David.
