Phillip Magdolen, 69, Goodrich, ND, died on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck. Graveside services will be held in the Goodrich City Cemetery in the Spring. Arrangements with Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Phillip was born on December 28, 1952, in Long Beach, CA, to Rudolph and Rose (Megna) Magdolen. He grew up in southern California and graduated from college with a degree in engineering. He was a contractor specializing in custom-built homes in CA, OR, AZ, and ID. He met Sherrie Robertson, and they were partners in life for 17 glorious years. They married six years ago and moved to Goodrich last year when they bought a home there. Phillip was a man of many talents and was a great mentor. He had taught his kids to work on cars, build houses, buy real estate, and many other things. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had numerous hobbies, and he enjoyed many things in life, but he really enjoyed traveling, especially with Sherrie. He was always ready for the next adventure. He loved life...

Phillip is survived by his wife, Sherrie, daughter, C.J. Alanis of Grand Terrace, CA, three sons, Phillip Il of Yucaipa, CA, Rudy of Temecula, CA, Robert of Oak Harbor, WA, Eight grandchildren, brother, Tony of Riverside, CA, and sister Kathy Broadwater of Tennessee. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents.
