Pearl Zerr, 93, Harvey, ND died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society Care Center in Mohall.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey, ND.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Pearl Mae was born on the family farm on July 26, 1923 near Harvey, ND to Gottlieb and Emelia (Sprenger) Frey. She grew up on the family farm and attended rural school. After her father's death in 1938 the remaining family moved into Harvey. Pearl graduated from the Harvey High School in 1940. She was an operator at the local telephone office. Pearl married Leo Zerr on November 28, 1944 in Harvey. They lived and farmed northwest of Harvey for a few years before moving back into Harvey where Pearl was a homemaker. Leo Zerr died on October 15, 1984. She returned to work for ten years at the St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey in the Laundry Department before retiring. She moved to Minot in 2008 and to Mohall in 2015.

Pearl was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and the altar society. She was an avid reader.

Pearl is survived by a daughter, Bette (Mario) Luna of Normal, Illinois; three sons, Gerald (Renee) Zerr of Minot, Richard (Penny) Zerr of Heil, ND and Robert Zerr of Grand Forks; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Delores Blanc of Phoenix, AZ.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Violet Frey and Helen Schmidt.
