Pearl Hetletved, 84, Tuttle, ND died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at English Lutheran Church, Tuttle.
Burial will be in the Tuttle Cemetery, Tuttle, ND
Friends may call at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND to sign the register book on Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Pearl was born on May 26, 1930 on the family farm near Killdeer, ND. She was the daughter of William and Rose (Ott) Ross. She grew up near Killdeer and attended rural school there. She was married to John McCormack and they had seven children, John, Dwight, Joane, James, Jan, Judd and Julie. The family lived in North Dakota and Montana. John died on November 27, 1973. Pearl married Orvel Hetletved on March 14, 1975 in Bismarck. They lived, farmed and ranched northeast of Tuttle. After selling the farm in 2001 they retired and moved into Tuttle. Orvel died on March 28, 2008. Pearl continued to reside in her home in Tuttle.
She was a member of the English Lutheran Church.
Pearls hobbies included sewing, cooking, camping and gardening. She also enjoyed horseback riding. She loved spending time outdoors and enjoying nature.
Pearl is survived by her two daughters, Joane (Bill) McLeod, Hoffman Estates, IL, Julie (Bruce) Middleton, Garden City, KS; four sons, John McCormack, Tuttle, Dwight (Julie) McCormack, Wenatchee, WA, James (Josie) McCormack, South Elgin, IL, Judd McCormack, Aurora, IL; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Osander, Mary Armstrong, Alice Johnson, Clara Norris and Eva Bardswell.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husbands John and Orvel; daughter, Jan McCormack; siblings, James Maas, Eileen Johnson, Elinore Alm, John Ross, William Ross, Lou Rameden, Charles Ross and Douglas Ross.
