Pamela Smette, 48, Harvey, ND died Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 9 at First Lutheran Church, Harvey. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the spring at the Bloomfield Lutheran Cemetery in Upham, ND.
Pamela Jean Smette was born on March 6, 1976, in Minot, ND to David and Claudette (Oppen) Smette. Her dad was a school superintendent which meant living in numerous towns including Butte, Hazen, and Dickinson, ND; Marshfield and Menomonie, WI. Pamela graduated from Menomonie High School in 1995. She attended the Pine Technical and Community College in Pine City, MN for one year. The family moved to Jamestown where she lived and worked.
Pamela moved to Harvey in 2018 and began using the residential services provided by the Harvey Area Vocational Instructional Training (HAV-IT). She resided at the Jackson Avenue residence and received services at the HAV-IT Center.
Pamela enjoyed her duties at the HAV-IT Center and playing games on her iPad.
Pamela was a member of the First Lutheran Church and sang in the church choir.
Pamela is survived by her daughter, Melissa Smette of Harvey; sister, Candace (Derek) Howe of Grand Rapids, MN; niece Marie Howe, nephew Seth Howe; and several aunts and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Ethan Howe.
