Pamela Houser, 50 died Friday, August 26, 2016 at her home near Mercer, ND.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Grace Lutheran Church, McClusky.
Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky, ND.
Burial will be in the McClusky City Cemetery.
Pamela Sue was born on March 13, 1966 in Lincoln, NE. She was the daughter of John and Betty (Becker) Corning. She grew up in Illinois with her father and returned to Lincoln when she was 18 years old. She worked for Dollar Tree and later became an assistant manager. Pam met Tom while he was visiting in Lincoln and they were married on August 4, 2007 in McClusky. They lived on a farm east of Mercer and she rode along with Tom in his trucking business covering numerous states and Canadian provinces. Pam then was a clerk at the C-Store in McClusky. Approximately five years ago she became ill and retired. She continued to live on the farm and pursued her love of riding horses, including on many trail rides in ND and MN. Her horses name was "Lucky." She also collected Precious Moments for herself and gave as gifts to many relatives and friends. She also enjoyed hunting deer and had drawn a buck tag for the upcoming season. Pam had no children of her own but had a great love for her step-daughter and nieces and nephews.
Pam is survived by her husband Tom of Mercer; stepdaughter Amanda (Nathan) Strid of Hettinger; sisters, Kathy (Kyle) Rice, Lincoln, NE; Lisa Kalush of Saunemin, IL, Tammy Rieuf of Saunemin, IL; brothers, Mike (Gail) Corning of Pontiac, IL, Bill (Heather) Corning of Dorchester, NE, Carl Kalush and Charles Kalush of Saunemin, IL, John (Michele) Kalush of Wilmington, IL; mother-in-law, Donna Fibelstad of McClusky; stepfather, Donald Vietz of Sterling, NE; sister-in-law, Diane (Scott) Holen of McClusky; brothers-in-law, Neal (Berna) Houser of Bismarck, Doug Houser of McClusky, Dean (Patty) Houser of Dell Rapids, SD, Bob (Tana) Houser of McClusky; nieces and nephews; special friends, Ervin Neff and Toni Larson.
Pam was preceded in death by her father John Corning and mother, Betty Corning Vietz; step mother Cheri Corning; sister, Jennifer Wright; grandparents; father-in-law, Merle Houser; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harley and Linda Houser.
