Orville Morris Hatch, Jr. of Hurdsfield, ND passed away peacefully on Monday, November 2, 2020 at his home with his wife by his side.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hurdsfield, ND with Rev. Pauline Crowder officiating.  Those attending the graveside service should bring a lawn chair.  Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Orville was born on November 28, 1951 in Jamestown, ND to Orville and Irene (Footitt) Hatch.  He was the youngest of six children.  Orville grew up and attended school in the Sykeston area. He married Candis Weippert on July 5, 1980 and they had two children, Ryan and Tyler.  Orville was a contract driver for the Unites States Postal Service from 1981 to 2010.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandson.  He also enjoyed his animals and music.  His favorite past times were watching sports and horse races.

Orville is survived by his wife, Candis of Hurdsfield; son Ryan (Rachel) Hatch and grandsons,  Riley and Carson, granddaughter McKennah all of Bismarck, daughter-in-law Tessa Larsen and grandson Ayden of Bowdon; sisters, Sharon, (Bill) Brown of Davenport, Iowa, Linda Peavey of Sykeston; brother Richard (Donna) Hatch of Sykeston; many nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Gary Andress and Robert Olson.

Orville was preceded in death his son, Tyler; parents Irene and Orville Hatch, Sr.; sisters, LaVerna Andress and Sandra Olson; and brother-in-law, Mike Weippert.
