Russell "Norm" Davis, 75, Harvey, ND died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 2 at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Russell Norman Davis was born on October 16, 1939 in Edgeley, ND. He was the son of Walter and Genevieve (Conitz) Davis. He graduated from Edgeley High School in 1957. He was employed by Western Cheese Company in Oakes and served in the North Dakota National Guard from 1957 to 1965. Norm married Catherine Kelsh on October 17, 1964 at Oakes, ND. Norm began working for Otter Tail Power Company as a Journeyman Lineman in 1966. He moved his family to Harvey in 1977 and was named lead lineman of a three man crew. He retired in 2002 after serving as foreman on two large transmission line building projects in the area.
Norm was a charter member of the Eagles Aerie in Oakes, ND and a current member of the Wells Eagles Aerie in Harvey. He was also a charter member of the Oakes Volunteer Ambulance Service. He was a member of the American Legion and served as a Cub Scout Leader while his sons were in scouting. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He and Kathy played cards in a local card club. His hobbies included bowling, golf, playing softball and the quarter game at the café with breakfast friends. He also farmed for a friend for the past 20 years.
Norm is survived by wife Kathy of Harvey; children, James Davis of Harvey, ND, Timothy (Joan) Davis of Sierra Vista, AZ, Stephanie "Suzy" (Ty) Rosenau of Warroad, MN, Thomas "TJ" Davis of Aberdeen, SD, Laurie (Brad) Towell of Harvey, Betsy Davis of San Francisco, CA; five grandchildren, Chance Davis, Sydney Rosenau, Mykayla Towell, Anthony Towell and Ciara Towell; three brothers, Phil Davis of West Fargo, Cliff Davis of Mitchell, SD, Bill Davis of Great Falls, MT; sister, Connie Wocelka of Owatonna, MN.
Norm was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ben; sister, Mary Jane Schott.
