Noel Jacobson 60 of Harvey died Tuesday April 17, 2012 at the Trinity Medical Center of Minot. Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church of Harvey on Monday April 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be held at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Williston, ND.

Noel was born on January 2, 1952 in Williston, ND. He was the son of Orrin and Hazel (Groseth) Jacobson. The family lived in the Williston area until 1958 when they moved to Ellendale, ND. Noel attended grade school there. In 1967 the family moved to Martin, ND and he graduated from the Harvey High School in 1973. After he completed a certified heavy equipment operator program he began his career as a truckdriver. He worked for several farmers and construction companies. He lived and worked in North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming before returning to Harvey where he worked for Harvey Sand and Gravel. He had spent the last several years as a truck driver for Susag Sand and Gravel in Harvey.

Noel's hobbies included fishing year round. He loved visiting. He enjoyed old time country music, accordion music, Doo-wop music, John Wayne Westerns, watching the History Channel and PBS. Shasta was his favorite dog and companion for the last 16 years and had died just this past February.

Noel is survived by his mother, Hazel of Williston; twin brother, Neal (Barb) Jacobson of Gillette, Wyoming, brother, Ed (Rosie) Jacobson of Dickinson; four sisters, Donna (Jack) Hassman, of Seaford, Delaware, Cindy (Harold) Davis, Whitewood, SD, Lois Jacobson of Williston, Karen (Craig) Richardson, of Williston, ND; seven nieces and nephews; six great nieces and great nephews and three aunts.

Noel was preceded in death by his father.
