Nick Faul, 73, of Harvey died Tuesday December 14, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held at the Mennonite Brethren Church of Harvey on Saturday December 18, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Friday December 17 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Country Mennonite Cemetery rural Harvey.

Nick was born on January 31, 1937 in Harvey. He was the son of Jacob and Pauline (Frueh) Faul. He grew up on the family homestead in Pony Gulch township south of Harvey. He graduated from the Harvey High School in 1955. Nick married Dorothy Louise Sommer on September 3, 1957 in Harvey. They lived and farmed on the Faul family homestead south of Harvey until 1992. Nick also worked at Harvey Motor Service for several years.

Nick was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church. He served as supervisor for the Pony Gulch and Western Townships. He enjoyed fishing, camping, farming and working with horses.

Nick is survived by his wife; sons, Frank (Glenna) Faul of Harvey; James (Tami) Faul of Lincoln, ND; daughters, Julie (Robert) Bjorland of Harvey, Faye (Brent) Weninger of Anamoose; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Nick was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Jacob Faul, Jr. Wilbert Faul, Archie Faul and Delmer Hirschkorn; three sisters, Esther Goble, Frieda Dreisner, Pauline Faul.
