Mildred Orner, 94 of Hurdsfield, ND died Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck.

Services are being held at 11:00 a.m. on November 26, 2016 (Saturday), at the Hurdsfield Community Center, Hurdsfield, ND. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hurdsfield, ND.

Mildred Marie Orner was born on November 2, 1922 at Carrington, ND. She was the daughter of Peter and Maria (Johnson) Lindborg. She grew up and attended school in the Bowdon/Chaseley area. She married Milford Nathan Orner on November 5, 1944 in Bowdon, ND. They farmed south of Chaseley, ND in Kidder County. Mildred taught in a country school in Merkel Township, Kidder County. They moved to Hurdsfield in 1965 and she worked at the Dairy King for seventeen seasons. Mildred and Milford also spent winters in California for a number of years. Milford died on January 21, 1993. She continued to live in Hurdsfield until 2012, when moved to Bismarck.

Mildred was a member of the Hurdsfield Lutheran Church and belonged to WELCA and served on the church council. She served on the Hurdsfield Park Board and belonged to the Senior Citizens Club. She was also a member of the Wells Eagles Auxiliary in Harvey.

Mildred is survived by a sister, Stella Kehn of Bismarck; several nieces and nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by parents Peter and Maria Lindborg and stepmother, Selma (Thompson) Lindborg; husband, Milford; brother, Alf Lindborg.
