Mary Ann Thomas 89 of Harvey died Saturday April 14, 2012 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Selz on Tuesday April 17 at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Monday April 16 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Prayer services will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.
Burial will be in the St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Selz, ND.
Mary Ann was born on January 28, 1923 in Harvey. She was the daughter of Wendelin and Mary (Bachmeier) Thomas. She grew up in Harvey and graduated from Harvey High School in 1941. Mary worked as a homemaker for the Renfrew and Bailey families for several years. She was also a waitress at the Harvey Café for a time. She married Eugene Thomas on August 17, 1943 in Harvey. They lived and farmed north of Harvey. They moved into Harvey in 1996. Eugene died on Jan 18, 1999. Mary was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Selz.
Mary is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Art and Ilona Thomas of Harvey, Joseph and Laura Thomas of Blaine, MN; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Nick Thomas of Devils Lake, ND.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Kathryn Hieb and Francis Kroneberg; brothers, Louis Thomas and Sigmond Thomas.
