Mary Ludwig, 99, Minot, ND died peacefully on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Edgewood Memory Care in Minot.

Graveside services will be at 12 noon on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery, Harvey, ND.

Mary was born on May 22, 1922 on the family farm in Pierce County to John and Katherine (Volk) Grossman.  She was raised and educated in the Esmond area of Alexander Township.

She married Wendelin Ludwig on November 26, 1940. They had four children, Rosella, Shirley, Tim and Leslie.  Mary and Wendelin, who worked for Ottertail resided in North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota before retiring to Devils Lake, ND.  After Wendelin's death on December 31, 1983, Mary moved to Minot with her daughter Shirley.  Mary liked to sew, watch birds, and loved her dogs.

Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Cheryl Ludwig of Minot; grandson, Kyle Ludwig of Minot.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Joe and Wendelin Grossman; daughters, Rosella, Shirley, and Leslie Crist.
