Marlys Olson, 82 of Coon Rapids, MN formerly of Harvey, ND died Monday, March 19, 2018 at a Coon Rapids nursing home.  Services will be Monday, March 26, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Harvey.  Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey.

Marlys was born April 26, 1935 in Harvey, ND.  She was the daughter of Albert and Dena (Hirschkorn) Roller. She married Frank Low in 1956. He died in 1963. She married Russell Olson on May 14, 1965 and he died on June 18, 2003.

Marlys was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Harvey and served as a past officer.  She was always involved with the Memorial Day services in Harvey.  She also helped maintain the Veterans Memorial Park for several years.

Marlys was a homemaker, gardener, community volunteer and member of the First Lutheran Church.

Marlys is survived by her children and their spouses; Mark (Kathy) Low, Savage, MN, Ann (Rick) Reing, East Bethel, MN; 4 grandchildren Derek (Lisa) Low, Lora (Matt) Meier, Kari Eik and Jessi (John) Oliver; 8 great grandchildren Landon, Noreen, Eloise, Wyatt, Grace, Dalton, Aalyse and Tyler; 2 brothers, Eugene (Violet) Roller of New York Milles, MN and Gerald (Audrey) Roller of Harvey. And many nieces, nephews and cousins.
