Mark Schmidt, 58 of Pick City died Friday December 22, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran church of Harvey on Friday December 29, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Thursday December 28, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery of Harvey.

Mark was born on May 13, 1959 in Harvey.  He was the son of Harold and Murriel (Calheim) Schmidt.  Mark grew up in Martin and attended school in Harvey.  He worked on the family farm for a time.  He then went to work construction in North Dakota.  He lived in Pick City, North Dakota.

Mark loved to fish and hunt.  He was a member of a Local Labor Union in Bismarck.

Mark is survived by one brother, Randie of Martin; nephew, Ross and his wife, Krystle Schmidt of Anamoose; niece, Trisha Schmidt of Martin; great-nephew, Kaden Schmidt; aunts and uncles; numerous cousins.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Schmidt; niece, Shauna Schmidt.
