Marie Lesmeister 102 of Harvey, ND formerly of Selz, ND died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home, Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Selz on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m with a rosary prayer service following at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Marie was born on June 20, 1913 near Selz, ND. She was the daughter of Joseph and Christine (Schweitzer) Vetter. She grew up and attended the Strasburg District country school. Marie married Mike Lesmeister on October 1, 1934. They lived and farmed in the Selz area. They retired from farming in 1972 and moved into Selz. They moved to Harvey in 2007. Mike passed away on February 24, 2007. Marie continued to live in the St. Aloisius Senior Housing until entering the St. Aloisius Nursing Home on June 10, 2009.

Marie's hobbies included gardening, cooking, quilting, working puzzles, crocheting and volunteering in the church cemetery.

Marie was a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and Catholic Order of Foresters all of Selz.

Marie is survived by two daughters Edith Ripplinger of Bismarck, Eleanor and son-in-law Darold Schuchard of Fargo; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael Jr. and Maloye Lesmeister of Harvey, Lawrence and Barbara Lesmeister of Harvey; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Katie Wolfe of Minot.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike; 8 siblings; son-in-law Joe Ripplinger, Jr.
