Marie Heil, 95, of Harvey died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the St. Aloisius Hospital of Harvey.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey with burial following in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Selz, ND.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Harvey followed by the rosary and prayer service at 7 p.m. at the church.
Marie was born on April 12, 1930 near Selz. She was the daughter of Joseph and Magdalena (Vetter) Goldade. Marie grew up on the family farm and attended school north of Selz. Marie married Raymond Heil on September 10, 1951, in Selz. They lived and farmed north of Selz. To this union four children were born Dave, Donovan, Doug, and Daphne. Marie worked with Ray at the Harvey Eagles Club for many years. They moved to Harvey in 1987. Marie entered the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey in April 2022. Marie enjoyed playing pinochle, hosting company, puzzles, cooking, and going to family events. Marie was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and Wells Eagles Aerie Auxiliary all of Harvey.
Marie is survived by sons, David (Dora) of Harvey, Donovan (Audrey) of Fessenden, Douglas (Kim) of Harvey; daughter, Daphne (Grady) Borth of Bismarck; six, grandchildren, Justin (Brooke), Kylah (David), Rylee (Gunnar), Gabrielle, Cambry and Harper; five great-grandchildren, Andrew (McKayla), McKenzie (Colin), Aliyah (Quinten), Jaxon, and Bria; two great-great-grandchildren, Hadley and Khloe; brother, Vincent of Grand Forks. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; granddaughter, Tami Alveshere; brothers, Jackie, William, James, Rochus, Daniel, Peter, Raymond, Joseph and Larry; sisters, Lena Farstad, Katherine Kline, and Barbara Martin. Arrangements with Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.
