Marie Ehman, 88 Rock Springs, Wyoming formerly of Harvey and Hurdsfield died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at a Rock Springs nursing home. Funeral services will be Wednesday May 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Bethany Lutheran Church in Harvey. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Marie May Eckman was born on June 19, 1921 on the family farm near Hurdsfield. She was the daughter of Albert and Helga (Berg) Eckman. She grew up near Hurdsfield and attended high school there. She married Ed Ehman on December 4, 1941 in Fessenden. They lived and farmed north of Chaseley. They moved to a farm north of Hurdsfield in 1945 and in 1964 they moved to Harvey. Marie was a nurses aid at St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey for twenty years and retired in 1985. Ed died on March 5, 1997. Marie moved to Rock Springs in 1999 and lived with her daughter. She was a member of Trinity Bethany Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included quilting and baking. Marie is survived by her daughter, Darlene Jothen of Rock Springs; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Marie was was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Lawrence, Art, Herb, Oscar and Rodger; sister, Bernice Alveshere.
