Lynn Langseth, 77, Harvey, ND died Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Jamestown, ND.

Funeral services will be at Cornerstone Community Church North Campus, Harvey (Formerly Bethel Baptist Church) at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Monday at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.

Lynn Arthur Langseth was born on January 9, 1939 in Carrington. He was son of Arthur C. and Iva Elizabeth (College) Langseth. Lynn graduated from Carrington High School in 1956. He then attended college at NDSU for three years and farmed with his father near Carrington.

Lynn married Delores Arnold on February 23, 1962 in Portland, ND. They moved to a farm four miles west of Harvey in July 1962. They moved into Harvey in November 1963. Lynn continued to farm and was an agent for National Insurance Company of America. He also sold crop insurance and later became a realtor in Harvey. They moved to Fargo in 1994 where he was an over the road truck driver. They retired in 2007 and moved back to Harvey.

Lynn was president of the Harvey Jaycees from 1967-1968 and was awarded the North Dakota Outstanding President of the year in the spring of 1968. He served on the Harvey City Council for four years and was a Wells Eagles Aerie and Harvey Volunteer Fire Department member. Lynn worked with the Cub Scouts. Lynn was baptized in 1984 and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church of Harvey now the Cornerstone Community Church North Campus.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Delores of Harvey; children, DuWayne (Cindy) of Colorado Springs, CO; Tammy and Richard Deisler of West Fargo, ND; James of Minnetonka, MN; 7 Grandchildren; 5 Great-grandchildren. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents. View online at www.hertzfuneralhomes.com
