Ludvina Richter 95 of Minot died Sunday July 22, 2012 at the Trinity Nursing Home of Minot. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Anthony Catholic Church of Selz on Thursday July 26, 2012 at 10:30 am. Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Wednesday July 25 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the church cemetery.

Ludvina was born on December 6, 1916 at Selz, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Mike and Magdelina (Weist) Kiefer. Ludvina grew up and attended school in Selz, North Dakota. She married Peter Richter on October 11, 1937 at Selz. She worked at the General Store and the Post Office in Selz. In 1944 they bought the Selz Bar and she worked there. In 1964 they moved to Minot where she made custom drapery at Voellers Furniture Store. She retired in 1977. Ludvina was a former member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Selz before moving to Minot where she was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church. Ludvina and Peter spent eleven winters in Mesa, AZ. Ludvina's hobbies were crocheting, playing pinochle, fishing and hunting. Peter died on December 9, 1999.

Ludvina is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Rozann Richter of Minot; daughter and son-in-law, Marleen and John Deck of Bismarck; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. Ludvina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter; daughter, Eunice Bender; brothers, Philip Kiefer, Nick Kiefer, Ed Kiefer.
