Lorraine Lucille Werner, 86, Tacoma, WA formerly of the McClusky area died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the CHI Franciscan Hospice House.  Service will be held at a later date in the McClusky City Cemetery.

Mom found her rest on January 17, 2018. She was born in 1931 to John and Caroline Engel in Denhoff, ND. Mom married Ervin Werner in 1949 in her home town. They left the farm in the fall of 1959 and moved to Tacoma, WA with 3 boys. Their fourth son was born soon after. Mom touched thousands of lives as she drove school bus for special needs kids for 36 years for Tacoma Schools. Even in her last days she "reminded" us often that she had to go drive her kids to school! Mom was preceded in death by Dad, all of her 10 siblings and one grandchild, Kierie, daughter of Tim and Aletha. Survivors are sons Terry of Tacoma, Tim (Aletha) of Walla Walla, Bob (Judy) of Tacoma, Milo of Yakima and "adopted" son Gary Griffith of Port Angeles. Mom has 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. We will celebrate mom's life February 16th at 4 pm at Life Center Church in Tacoma, WA. She will be laid to rest next to Dad in McClusky ND.
