Lori Rae DeLano Himmelberger, age 59 of Hamburg, ND passed away suddenly, of natural causes on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at home. Family and friends are planning services, date to be determined.

Lori Rae was born on 09/29/1961 in Sunnyside, WA to Larry and Connie (Wallace) DeLano and received her namesake from her great aunt Rae.  She grew up in Sedro-Wooley, WA and attended high school there.  She worked in the hospitality industry in Washington.  She was a caregiver in Arizona for five years.  She later married Herbert Himmelberger who now resides in Arizona but they have been separated for many years. In 2011 she moved to Hamberg with a job breaking horses for local farmsteads. She made friends quickly and was able to get work with Gene Kaul hanging drywall and painting when she wasn't on her horse. Throughout her life she was a passionate horse owner and would give riding lessons to just about anyone who showed even the slightest interest. Sheba was her favorite horse and they took part in many parades and events.  Lori was also part owner of the Bremen Bar where many patrons would spend time chatting and joking and playing cups. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Chene' and Steve Keltz of Anacortes, WA; three grandchildren; Quentin, Kolten and Corinthia; sister Karin Warren; brother Scott Bauder; half sister, Kitty Martin as well as her great aunt Faye Engberg, cousins Denise, Garvin, Dale, her guard dog Lina in Hamburg; and many more relatives in the State of Washington including Clayton DeLano.  Lori was preceded in death by her parents Larry and Connie as well as her brother Larry "Rocky" DeLano, Jr.; her best friend Willy Girl "Fluffy".
