Loren Evan Stolz, 36, Fessenden formerly of Harvey, ND died Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.  Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Harvey on Monday January 10, 2022 at 2 p.m.  Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Sunday January 9, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey.

Loren was born on January 4, 1986 in Harvey, ND to Jay and Dolores (Doll) Stolz.  He was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Harvey.  Loren grew up in Harvey and was active in school sports. He was in the Boy Scouts and received the Order Of the Arrow award. He graduated in 2005 and attended the Minot State University for a year.  While there he worked parttime at Tractor Supply.  He met Daniella Thompson at the Minot State Homecoming that year.  He and Daniella later moved to Harvey and in 2012 he began his career as a carman for the Canadian Pacific Railroad.  He was the fourth generation of Stolz's working for the Soo Line or the Canadian Pacific.  His dedication to the railroad showed how much he cared about his job there.  Loren married Daniella Thompson on May 7, 2017 in Havana, ND.  They lived in Harvey until their son, Greyson Lee was born on January 21, 2021.  They found a larger home in Fessenden and moved there to raise their family while remaining close to family.

While growing up Loren discovered hobbies he continued to enjoy throughout his life.  The hobbies included, hunting, fishing, archery, target shooting, golfing, and coin collecting.  Loren bought a Harley motorcycle and enjoyed the many day trips taken with family and motorcycle buddies.  When it came to music, movies or television shows, Loren was an old soul.  Shows like "Mash", "The Waltons" and "The Golden Girls" were favorites.  He knew the music and artists from the 70's and 80's and would banter trivia back and forth with his dad. He could tell "Dad Jokes" for hours.  Loren also had the knack of remembering historical trivia. Loren loved being a dad and Greyson taught him patience.

Loren is survived by his wife Daniella and son, Greyson of Fessenden; parents, Jay and Dolores Stolz of Harvey; sister, Heather (Brent) Behrens of Bismarck; grandmother, Alice Stolz of Bismarck; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.  He was preceded in death by grandparents, Theodore Stolz, Harold and Clementine Doll.
