On September 17, 2026 Lois Jean (Coombs) Lasher, 92, of McClusky, ND took her last breath on earth and was ushered into the presence of her Lord and Saviour. On June 16, 1934 John (Jack) and Gladys (Evans) Coombs welcomed identical twin girls into their family, Lois Jean and Lori Deane. They were delivered and named by their grandmother on the family farm south of Pickardville. Weighing 3lbs each Lois and Lori thrived and grew into creative, giving, strong determined women. On December 2, 1955 Lois and Floyd Lasher were married in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. They were married 51 years until Floyd’s passing in 2007. They lived on the family farm north of McClusky until they moved into McClusky in 1969. They were blessed with 4 children, Laurie, Thomas, Carmen, and Margo. Lois was a homemaker raising her family and providing hair styling for local ladies of the community. In 1979 she started working for the Sheridan Memorial Home as a caregiver, cook, and cleaner and retired after 31 years. Lois was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was a Sunday School teacher and Sunday School Superintendent. Lois was also a member of the local Red Hat Society. Between 1934-2026 Lois was a self-less servant; a caregiver all her life. Many experienced her kindness, generosity and love. God filled her cup to overflowing so she could pour into others. There wasn’t anything Lois wouldn’t tackle and learn, she would say she liked the challenge. Being in the kitchen was one of her happiest places, her favorite part was sharing the results of her labor with family and friends. Her specialty was working with dough making delicious buns, caramel rolls, coffee cake, donuts and tarts. Her motto was “If you feed them they will come”. Her many other talents included sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, canning, and quilting for her family, friends and missions and crocheting keepsakes and many winter hats for the needy. Over the span of five years Lois and Lori made quilts for missions, children, grandchildren, and special friends.

Lois is survived by her children, Laurie Severson of Bismarck, Thomas (Dakota) Lasher of Hermantown, MN, Carmen Fish of Bismarck, and Margo (Perry) Moll of Minot; 8 grandchildren, Aaron (Stacey Goldade) Severson, Bismarck, Andrea (CJ) Koppang, Bismarck, Jordan (Kari) Moll, Cameron (Emily) Moll, Minot, Chase Lasher, Nevada Lasher (Jake) Parker, Chance Lasher and Sierra Lasher all of Hermantown, MN; 9 great-grandchildren, Lily, Jax and Lia Koppang, Bristol and Owin Hamilton, TaeLynn and Rylan Moll, Hudson and Berkley Moll and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; son-in-law, Tim Fish; grandsons, Cole and baby Fish, great-granddaughter, Sophia Koppang; parents, Jack and Gladys Coombs; siblings, Betty (Don) Rogers, Lori Hoots, Chet (Scottie) Coombs and Virginia Rhoads, (Clayton and Orville) and infant sister, Credwynn; parents-in-law, William and Pearl Lasher, sister-in-law, Melvie (Herb) Wanner and brother-in-law, Orlyn Lasher, as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
