Lloyd D. Opp, 78, Harvey, ND, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the First Lutheran Church, Harvey.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2 at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.

Lloyd was born on June 11, 1937 in a sod house near Lincoln Valley, ND. He was the son of Jacob and Elta (Lautt) Opp. He grew up on the family farm and attended rural school in Lincoln Valley. At the age of 15 he worked construction with his uncle in Montana. He returned to North Dakota and worked at Bossert Implement in Drake, ND.

Lloyd married Eunice Helm on June 3, 1961 in Harvey. They lived near Drake. He continued working for Bossert Implement and farmed with family. They moved to Harvey in 1972. He began working for Keller Implement in Harvey and continued farming. Eunice passed away on August 20, 1998. Lloyd continued working in Harvey for the John Deere dealerships, Green Vision and later for Gooseneck Implement.

Lloyd is a member of the First Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND; Lloyd was a former member of the Drake Fire Department.

Lloyd is survived by three sons, Kory (Rhonda) Opp of Medicine Lake, MT, Kim (Wendy) Opp of Harvey; Kyle (Tricia) Opp of Bismarck; two daughters, Kailyn (Byron) Hansen of Washburn, ND, Karissa (Bret) Dockter of Harvey; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Opp of Minot; several nieces and nephews.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eunice Opp; son, Kelly Opp; grandson, Bailey Dockter; brothers, Eddy, Arley, James, and Robert Opp; sister, Bernice Opp.
