Lloyd Baier 83 of Harvey died Wednesday December 28, 2016 at his home. Arrangements are pending with Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey. Funeral services will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Sunday January 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will on Saturday December 31, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Country Mennonite Church Cemetery rural Harvey.

Lloyd was born on September 9, 1933 in Harvey to Edward and Elsie (Schlenker) Baier. He grew up and attended school in Pony Gulch Township. He was once married to Delores Keller to which they had two children, Cindy and Brian. Lloyd married Kristy Knutson on April 11, 1967 to which they had a daughter, Dee Dee. Lloyd served as supervisor on the Pony Gulch Township and was a member of the Wells Eagles Aerie 3080 of Harvey. Lloyd along with his twin brother Floyd started farming and raising cattle at the age of 16 following the death of their father in 1949. He continued to farm and raise cattle with his brother until his brother's death in 2005.

Lloyd enjoyed driving his four wheeler everyday where he would check on the cattle and spray weeds in his pastures. Lloyd enjoyed attending parades, classic cars, threshing shows, Sunday drives,going to the Wells County and North Dakota State Fair and watching wildlife.

Lloyd is survived by his son, Brian of Harvey; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Bob Martin of Martin, ND, Dee Dee and Monte Knudtson of Harvey; Grandchildren, Misty (Chad) Wrightson of Ft. Pierre, South Dakota, Dustin Sherlock of Jamestown, Bridget (Travis) Sanderson of Thornton, CO; great-grandchildren, Caden and Conner Sherlock of Jamestown, sister, Carol (Mike) Salerno of Peoria, Arizona, Nephews, Mike and Bruce Baier of Bismarck; aunt, cousins

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kristy; brother, twin brother Floyd and his wife, Karen.
