Linda L. Stafford, 77, went to meet Jesus on August 18, 2026, in Owatonna, MN. Linda was born in Harvey ND on October 6, 1948. She was the eleventh child of James and Marion (Stendahl) Stafford of Harvey. Linda spent her childhood with her family in Harvey, graduating from Harvey High School in 1966. Shortly after high school, Linda moved to the Twin Cities in search of work. She was hired as a forklift driver at the Sears warehouse in South Minneapolis. Linda worked for Sears for over twenty years until the distribution center closed in the early 1990s. She then went to work for another company until her retirement a few years later.
After her retirement, Linda remained in her home in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. She enjoyed spending time with her many good friends and keeping up with the news about her extensive family. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins, suffering through losing seasons but never losing hope. Linda loved sports. In her younger days, she played in a softball league and a bowling league. A true North Dakotan, she loved to play cards with friends and family. Linda also enjoyed time at the lakes in northern Minnesota, the Minnesota State Fair, and other annual events in the Twin Cities.
Later in life, due to health reasons, Linda moved to an assisted living center in Owatonna, Minnesota, to be closer to her brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Val Stafford, who looked after her and took care of her needs.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Luke, Darrell (Cheetah), Ardell, Wesley (Ves), Nathan (Nip), and Norman (Dutch) and her sister Mavis Rusch. She is survived by her sister Janice Neuenschwander of Bismarck ND, her brothers Randy Stafford of Owatonna MN, and Tom Stafford of Sykeston ND, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
May she rest in peace.
