Linda K. Houser, 67, Mandan formerly of McClusky died on Monday, February 15, 2016 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20 at Grace Lutheran Church, McClusky, ND.

Visitation will be Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky, ND.

Burial will be in the McClusky City Cemetery.

Linda Kay Luechtefeld was born December 8, 1948 in Decatur, IL to Lawrence and Dortha (Sanderson) Luechtefeld. She grew up and attended school in Decatur. She lived in the state of Maine where she received her GED. Linda moved to Grand Forks in 1971 and to McClusky in 1976. While living in McClusky, she met Harley Houser and they were a couple for 26 years before being married on May 5, 2002 in Las Vegas, NV. Linda attended RD Hairstyling School in Bismarck in 1983. She owned and operated the New Look Salon in McClusky for nearly seventeen years. Harley died on June 7, 2008. She continued to reside in McClusky until moving to Decatur in 2010 and to Mandan in 2014.

Linda enjoyed playing Bingo, Yahtzee and days spent on the Pontoon on the Missouri River. She also showed her creative side using a woodburner in making crafts.

Linda is survived by three daughters, Linda (Wynne) Unruh of Mandan, ND, Roberta Olson of Bismarck, Michelle (Mark) Driessen of Brainerd, MN; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Jesse Luechtefeld of Decatur, IL; 3 sisters, Sheila Lowry and Pamela Luechtefeld both of Decatur, Kathy (Brad) Flesner of O'Fallon, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Donna Fibelstad of McClusky; sister-in-law, Diane (Scott) Holen of McClusky; brothers-in-law, Bob (Tanna) Houser and Doug Houser all of McClusky; Tom (Pam) of Mercer, ND, Dean (Patty) of Del Rapids, SD; Neal (Berna) of Bismarck, ND.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harley; one grandson, Roy Richter; brothers, Robert Luechtefeld, Terry Luechtefeld, Larry Luechtefeld and Jeff Luechtefeld; brother-in-law, William Lowry.
