LeRoy D. Miller, 69, Anamoose, ND died Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.  Funeral services will be held at the St. Martin Lutheran Church, Anamoose on Wednesday April 7, 2021 at 11 a.m.  Visitation will be at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey on Tuesday April 6, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

LeRoy was born on December 12, 1951 in Harvey, ND.  He was the son of August and Lydia (Schmollinger) Miller.   He grew up on the family farm south of Anamoose in Sheridan county.  He attended rural school and then the Anamoose Public School. After completing his basic training in April 1971, he served in a tank platoon in Germany.  He was honorably discharged in 1973.  LeRoy returned to the family farm and joined with his father in raising small grains, hay, and raised livestock including cattle and hogs.  He also was employed by the ND Game and Fish Department to cut grass alongside the roads in the area.  LeRoy married Tamara Anderson on June 17, 1993 in Minot.   They sold their cattle in 2003 and moved into Anamoose.

LeRoy interests included attending auction sales hunting especially for ducks.  LeRoy spent summer months teaching his son and nephews about the ways of farming including how to drive farm equipment, pitch hay bales, and picking rocks from the farm fields.

LeRoy was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church.  He was also a member Oswald Wohl VFW Post 6831 in Anamoose and the Wells Eagles Aerie in Harvey.

Leroy is survived by his wife, Tamara of Anamoose; son, Tyler Stalsberg and grandson Milo Stalsberg both of North Branch, MN; brother, Melvin (Jeanette) Miller of Fargo; two sisters, Delores (Bill) Fleury of Snohomish, WA and Arlene (Roger) Hoffman of Billings, MT and numerous nieces and nephews.  LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ervin.
