Laura Lorrine Mehlhouse, 91, Harvey, ND died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday April 15 at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey with visitation there on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND later in the spring.

Laura Lorrine Mehlhouse was born on June 14, 1921 at Falkirk, ND. Lorrine was the daughter of Rex and Mary Ann (Decker) Wood. She grew up there and graduated from Falkirk High School in 1939. She enjoyed playing softball during her youth.

Lorrine married Thomas J. McConaughy in 1941. They lived in Jamestown. Lorrine was credit manager at the Jamestown Sears Store for 15 years. Her husband, Thomas died August 2, 1969. She continued to live in Jamestown. Lorrine married Ralph Mehlhouse April 7, 1973 in Jamestown. They lived on a farm near Fessenden. Ralph died February 19, 1991. Lorrine moved to Bismarck in 1995 and to Harvey in September 2011.

Lorrine was a member of Trinity Bethany Lutheran Church in Harvey and a former member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Jamestown.

Her hobbies included gardening, working puzzles, collecting antiques, watching the Minnesota Twins, playing Bridge and traveling.

Lorrine is survived by her son, Robert McConaughy of Story, WY; daughters, Laura (Pete) Martinez of Tucson, AZ, Kathy (Arlo) Helm of Harvey; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Audrey Mehlhouse of Green Bay, WI.

Lorrine was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Thomas and Ralph; son, Marvin Mehlhouse, two brothers, Leon Wood and Wayne "Billy" Wood; sister, Lela Clemmons.
