Laura Liebelt, 89, of Harvey died Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church of Harvey on Tuesday August 22, 2017 at 10:30 am.

Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery of Harvey.

Laura was born on June 18, 1928 near Velva, North Dakota.  She was the daughter of Lars and Christine (Sanderson) Stenvold.  Laura grew up and attended rural school and the Velva Public School.  Laura married Raymond Liebelt on April 1, 1946 at Sidney, Montana.  They farmed near Velva for a short time before moving to the Harvey area to farm.  They later purchased a farm near Wellsburg retiring in 1981.  They moved to Harvey in 1991. Raymond died on November 11, 2012.  Laura entered the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey in January of 2014.  The Liebelt family would like to thank the staff at the nursing home for the care that was given to their mother and grandmother.

Laura was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Harvey.  Laura enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, going to garage sales, sewing, playing bingo and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Laura is survived by her sons, Jim (Jenny) Liebelt of Grand Forks, Rob (Kim) Liebelt of Warroad, MN; daughter, Lori (Kelly) Mason of Fessenden; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, June Streitz of Minot.  Laura was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond, sons, Ron and Gary; daughter, Cheryl; sisters, Marion Nelson, Selma Buethe, Mabel Coffe, Marlys Brockell; brothers, Lars, Joe, Lloyd, and Arnold.
