Kenneth C. Rath, 71, of Harvey, ND formerly of Anamoose passed away peacefully after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 at Trinity Bethany Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND.  Burial will be in the Ebenezer Congregational Cemetery, Anamoose, ND.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Kenneth was born on April 25, 1952, in Harvey.  He was the son of Calvin and Esther Rath.  Ken grew up on the family farm south of Anamoose and graduated from Anamoose High School in 1970.  As a young man he worked on various carpenter jobs.  He went into full-time farming and ranching with his dad and brother Gerry.  Together they raised purebred Charolais cattle for many years.  Kenneth enjoyed fishing, nature, and pets on the farm.  He entered the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in March 2021.

Kenneth is survived by his brother, Gerald Rath, sister and brother-in-law Marlene and Myron Thon all of Harvey.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
