Ken was born August 16, 1935, in New Rockford.  He was the son of Robert and Pauline (Huber) Edinger.  He grew up with three brothers and five sisters on a farmstead near New Rockford, and at the age of 14 left home to work on a relative's farm.  The family later moved south of Hurdsfield to a farmstead.  Ken spent a lot of his spare time in Tuttle where he met Mavis in 1954 and they were wed on March 4, 1956 at Faith Baptist Church.  Ken and Mavis made a home in Harvey.  He worked at Genuine Parts before he opened Harvey Motor Service in 1958.  Ken, Mavis, and eventually their son, Kent, expanded the business over years to include lawn/garden, snowmobiles, ice fishing and much more.  Ken was known for his extensive knowledge of motors and parts.

Ken and Mavis loved to go fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and hunting in their spare time. They were very social with friends, their church community, and family members.  Ken served in the church as a trustee, treasurer, deacon, youth leader, Sunday school teacher, and Awana leader.

Ken is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mavis, his four children, Tammy (Roger) Sackman, Donna and Kent, all of Harvey and Jodi Hammargren of Beulah, along with 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Ken was greeted in heaven by his parents, all his brothers and sisters and his son-in-law Kip Hammargren.
