Kayla Mae Forness, 32, of Maddock formerly of Harvey, ND died Saturday, April 13, 2019 at her home.  Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church of Harvey on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey.  Burial will be at the Sunnyside Cemetery of Harvey.

Kayla Mae (Buchwitz) Forness was born on August 15, 1986 in Minot, ND.  She was the daughter of Tim Buchwitz and Kelly Minor.  Kayla attended school in Harvey, Maddock, Center, and then graduated from Harvey High School in 2005.  Kayla then attended Rasmussen College of Accounting in Fargo.  For the past two years she been ranching south of Maddock with Eric.  Kayla in the past had worked for Park Construction, Cenex in Fessenden and Harvey and the Huddle House in Fargo.

Kayla was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Harvey and a member of the American Legion Axillary Albert Block Post 56.  Kayla loved her children, Isabella, Wyatt, and Landon.

Kayla is survived by a daughter, Isabella, sons, Wyatt and Landon; her father, Tim Buchwitz and stepmother, Debbie Buchwitz of Harvey; mother, Kelley Minor and stepfather, Rick Minor of Fargo; brother, Tim (Erin) Buchwitz Jr. Bismarck; stepbrother, Thomas (Tana) Minor, stepsister, Kari Drake (Krystie Lee); grandparents, George and Loretta Buchwitz of Harvey; aunts, Nancy (Greg) Rime, Wall, SD, Debbie (William) White, Meeker, CO; special friend, Eric Hvinden of Maddock; many nieces and nephews and cousins.
